Ugly Sweater Mixology Class

Get ready to shake up the holiday spirit with our Ugly Sweater Mixology Class! Join us for a festive evening where attendees will create two delicious cocktails and enjoy two additional pre-made holiday drinks! 

Each class will also include a beautiful charcuterie board to enjoy alongside your drinks. Tickets are $30 per person, and if you wear an ugly Christmas sweater, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card – there will be one lucky winner per class!

Golf Tournament

Come join CONNECT for 9 holes of golf at the Pierce Country Club. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this event is perfect for golf enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Registration begins at 4:00pm, with a Shot Gun start at 4:30pm.
Registration for teams of 4 includes cart rental (2 per team). Individual tickets will also be available. There is a max of 18 teams so sign up now while spots are available!

Signature Program

Top 20 Under 40

Top 20 Under 40 annually profiles 20 area young professionals who are growing and excelling in their respective fields. Connect is asking community members to consider nominating young professionals that are active in their workplace and in the community. Ideal candidates are individuals who demonstrate leadership and professional growth, while making the Norfolk area a better place in which to live.

Companies or individuals are allowed to nominate more than one person.

Eligibility

  • Nominees must be under 40 years of age as of April 1st, 2024.
  • Nominees must be residents and employees in Madison County or Pierce County.
  • Must not have been a previous 20 Under 40 honoree. (Click here to see past winners)

Judging Criteria

The 20 under 40 judges use the following criteria to evaluate each nominee, awarding a maximum of 75 points to a potential winner.

  1. Career achievement to-date (25 points)
  2. Leadership within company and/or industry (15 points)
  3. Involvement in community activities (20 points)
  4. Leadership in community organizations (15 points)

Important Dates

December 5: Nomination deadline
December 10: Committee meets to select Top 20
December 15: Honorees are notified
January 4: Honorees final details confirmed

An anonymous selection committee will meet and review the nominations to determine the 20 recipients.

Winners will be publicly announced in the 2024 Spring/Summer Norfolk Now magazine and NorfolkNow.org/Connect-Norfolk.
